Claire-Anne Gutekunst

Claire-Anne Gutekunst is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Emory University School of Medicine. Her current research primarily focuses on neurodegenerative disease, studying the neurobiology of Huntington’s Disease and therapeutic options for Parkinson’s Disease, for instance. In addition to her professorship, she works in the Translational Neuro-Engineering Lab at Emory, which uses methods from biomedical and molecular engineering, as well as neurophysiology, to study epilepsy. Over the course of her career, she has authored over 90 articles and 5 patents.
