Technical Summary
CAS-2 binds to both ATP-actin and ADP-actin and strongly promotes exchange of actin-bound nucleotides. Actin is a globular multi-functional protein that forms microfilaments and participates in many important cellular processes, including muscle contraction, cell motility, cell division and cytokinesis, vesicle and organelle movement, cell signaling, and the establishment and maintenance of cell junctions and cell shape.
