Alicia Lyle

Alicia Lyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology at the Emory University School of Medicine, where she also manages the Lyle Cardiovascular Lab. Her research is centered on peripheral artery disease (PAD), in particular, the ways in which vascular inflammation impacts new vessel formation. This more comprehensive understanding of PAD hopes to uncover novel treatment targets that would be non-surgical and less invasive than current options. With the Lyle Cardiovascular Lab, she continues her study of inflammation, using techniques from molecular biology, cell biology, and animal physiology. In addition to her academic work, Lyle serves on the Emory Department of Medicine Research Steering Committee.
