Carolyn Aidman

Carolyn Aidman is the Associate Director of the Urban Health Initiative in the Emory University School of Medicine. Through the Urban Health Initiative, Aidman directs community projects focused on food and reproductive justice throughout the Atlanta area. Her responsibilities also include fostering engagement in the UHI throughout the university, either by recruiting interns or enlisting the help of faculty. In 2015, Aidman was recognized with the Emory Distinguished Staff award. Over the course of her career, she has authored 2 patents and has also been certified as a Doula since 1977.
