Tamara Caspary

Tamara Caspary is a Professor in the Department of Human Genetics at the Emory University School of Medicine. She also serves as a Full Member in Neuroscience and in Genetics and Molecular Biology in the Laney Graduate School. Her area of expertise is in mammalian nervous system development, which she studies in her own research and in the Department of Human Genetic’s Caspary Lab. Using a variety of mutagenesis techniques, Caspary and her lab are able to identify recessive mutant genetic lines and the specific defects they cause in the nervous system. Caspary holds memberships in the Genetics Society of America, Society for Developmental Biology, and American Association of Cell Biology.
