Jennifer Gooch is an Assistant Professor in the Department
of Medicine’s Renal Division at the Emory University School of Medicine. She
primarily studies signal transduction pathways in cells, using methods from
biology to identify the mechanisms that guide cell- and tissue-specific
processes. Her lab takes particular focus on kidney research, studying the
compound calcineurin phosphatase in order to draw out results regarding
diabetes patients and transplants recipients. Over the course of her career,
she has authored 4 patents.
