Luke Brewster

Luke P. Brewster is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery’s Vascular Surgery Division at the Emory University School of Medicine. He also serves as a Staff Scientist at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center as well as Program Faculty at both Emory Children’s Heart Research and Outcomes Center and Georgia Tech/Emory’s Biomedical Engineering Program. An esteemed vascular surgeon, Brewster’s research interests include arteriosclerosis, mesenchymal stem cells, and therapeutics development for patients with peripheral arterial disease. Brewster has been recognized for his academic and clinical excellence with membership on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute, as well as with the Jay D. Coffman Early Career Investigator Award from the American Heart Association. His NIH proposals have ranked in the top 1% of submissions and he currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Surgical Research.
