EU173 – Polyclonal Antibody against Human DNA Methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1 N-terminal)

Application

Western Blot

Specificity

Human Dnmt1 N-terminal

Subtype

Rabbit polyclonal

Immunogen

Native Protein

Technical Summary

DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) proteins are involved in DNA methylation in which a methyl group is added to a cytosine residue on DNA. Three families of DNMTs have been identified: DNMT1, DNMT2, and DNMT3. DNMT1 plays a role in the establishment and regulation of tissue-specific patterns of methylated cytosine residues. The antibody available was purified from rabbit using highly purified native protein as antigen. The dilution of the serum is 1:1000 and the dilution of the purified antibodies is 1:2000. Reactivity was tested for both the serum and purified antibodies via dot blot using corresponding antigens.
