Robert Gross

Robert Gross is the MBNA/Bowman Chair and professor of the Department of Neurosurgery. His primary research interests focus on developing novel strategies for epilepsy and movement disorder using neuromodulation through various techniques, such as multielectrode arrays, closed loop control theory, and optogenetics. His group has also developed a gene therapy approach to improve axon outgrowth in regenerative situations like Parkinson’s disease.
