John Oshinski

John Oshinski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Director of the Emory MR Research Division and Co-Director of the Center for Systems Imaging. He additionally holds an Associate Professorship in the Emory/Georgia Tech Department of Biomedical Engineering. His research is broadly concerned with applying engineering and technical problem-solving techniques to the clinical landscape of imaging, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular disease. This manifests in the development and application of imaging techniques for the evaluation of atherosclerotic plaques, the application of phase contrast MRI to vascular hemodynamics, and the use of imaging to plan electrophysiology procedures.
